Recruiting 2024 Transfer Portal Thread: 5* CB Cormani McClain headed to UF

That commitment video is even funnier when you realize (1) it was made by crucial; (2) in 2021 for his initial commitment; and (3) it focuses on the HS and coach he ended up transferring from in HS (only to get benched on his new HS team for attitude issues). At least he dedicated his...

Former Nole QB dead at 46

I know where this will go, but before it does I wanted to share some positives. He coached my sons 7v7 team the last two years. He was gracious with his time and attention to the kids. He was also a great father of 3 kids (14 to much younger). He took it in stride when I asked him if he buys...

Recruiting 2025 recruit OL Enoch Wangoy reclassified to 2024

He doesn’t help now but if taking a complete project, I suppose it’s better to get him in your own strength and weight program than HS. And he THEORETICALLY gets better coaching in college too for that development.

Recruiting 2024 Transfer Portal Thread: 5* CB Cormani McClain headed to UF

I hadn't seen that in here, so I looked at his X account. I think Anzelone is saying the same as most here, that is was a disaster all around (including my point about him getting more depth):

Recruiting 2024 Transfer Portal Thread: 5* CB Cormani McClain headed to UF

As a play like that develops, the LB has to get depth, especially on 4th and 16. Yes he was “in zone” but most don’t coach to cover no one and when everyone clears behind you, back up and be in the play. He did not blow the play, but he also played it horribly.

Spring ball: Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

You misread my post. The call was not the “full” fault on the play. I just pointed out that Nunnery did play it like shyte. To your larger point, we can agree (I think) that personnel, play call, and coaching are not good on that play (and coaching likely led to Nunnery’s positioning too)...

CBN on Josh Pate’s the Late Kick on Tuesday

I don’t need to look it up and will trust that we averaged 2.3 yards more on kick/punt returns than the national average or gave up 1.2 yards less per punt/kick return. I’d love the see the stat on games lost/won by special teams plays made or blown. I’m highly confident we were in the bottom...

Spring ball: Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

Fugh you guys making me seem like I’m defending a losing 4th and 16 call, but Urbs analysis is that cover 3 is weak against the outside intermediate routes. They threw to the middle, not the weak spot Meyer was highlighting. Rather, especially knowing down and distance we should have had...

Spring ball: Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

This is the problem and one that could have been seen before he was hired. He did not "dominate" anything. To your question, if you win that many one score games, it is not repeatable and you are in fact a lucky SOB. In his 2020 (10-1 season) 7 of the 11 games were one score. In 2021, 7 of...

Spring ball: Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

My biggest takeaway was more of the same and what we knew, with a couple minor exceptions. Some thoughts: Hard to assess the OL since I could not rewind plays on ESPN+ to see where breakdowns were coming from. Play calling in a spring game on 2nd and long and 3rd and long for the team was...

    Gatorchatter SOLD: Under new management

This deal will be as momentously successful as Daimler buying Chrysler for $40 billion, the AOL-Time Warner merger, Red Sox sale of Babe Ruth, Kodak's decision to hold back on digital cameras to preserve their film business, and Blockbuster choosing to pass on buying Netflix for $50 million...

Some of this was also the read/play development piece. The timing in the gun changes, which seems to have bother SOS more than the concept of the snap difference. Until Nebraska, and then the nulls, forced his hand.

Spring ball: Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

Other than Chris Leak, I haven't seen anyone working with QBs teaching with the ear hole mechanics any more (and Leak's guys have obvious shot-put mechanics with little power or spin. It just restricts the body rotation too much. Nearly every NFL guy has adjusted too (including Brady). Lagway...

I also missed this game, but having watched most of the others, I'd guess that is exactly what Pullin did for 80% of our possessions in the last 10 minutes of the game. It's been the same way in nearly every non-blowout game, or made blowouts not blowouts by Pullin's beating the ball to death play.

ScottieS has made it less appealing for students to attend and it has bleed over to others not attending because the once intimidating atmosphere is essentially gone, even when student section is now full. At least he is consistent in his effortS to degrade the game day atmosphere across all...
