Slater awful again but at least gave up a lot of hits and not walks. Needed to score 9 or 10 runs last inning for insurance when had bases loaded and no outs.- FireFoley

And b/c of the run rule, Sully sac bunted in the top of the 7th with a 9 run lead to get runners into scoring position, which was the correct move. but without the run rule, no coach would sac bunt with a 9 run lead in the 7th inning.- FireFoley

I agree that Jameson was extended but this is how Sully works. Having not a single competent, consistent pitcher on his staff, if a guy is going decent he will ride him as long as he can regardless of pitch count and Jameson never throws that many pitches out of the bullpen.- FireFoley

11 run lead and 3 outs away and Jameson walks the leadoff hitter. And as you can guess the walk has already scored and the opponent was throwing in the towel sending up a pinch hitter. Another run extends the game. Underhanded, over the plate.- FireFoley

Gators lead 4-3. Wilson singles Cags homers. Shelton gets a gift dropped fly ball triple, scores on a groundout and Kurland homers to right field. More times than not when Kurland shortens his swing and goes with the pitch good things happens. Needs to permanently lose that long loopy swing...- FireFoley

Well another splendid outing for Cags Makes it thru 1 out in the 3rd inning. 4 Walks 70 pitches. Redefining managing your pitch count. Probably saving him for a few hitters in the one and done game on Tuesday. :thug: Just awful.- FireFoley

Cags control is just abysmal. Not sure how much is on him and how much is on the lack of coaching he receives. Not asking him to be great but you cannot walk so many guys and have some any deep counts and expect any success. 58 pitches thru 2 innings. Gators trail 3-0.- FireFoley

So out of the 30 SEC games this season Gators have officially trailed in 28 of them at some point. Sure team is not good and you will not go wire to wire in all your wins but this seems almost impossible. College baseball may be about the long ball but it is about the long ball with runners on base. We do not consistently get runners on base. Allowing solo HR's will NOT get you beat very often if at all.- FireFoley

Peterson decent in the start. McNeillie horrendous to the two hitters he faced and Neely excellent in a long relief appearance. Only surrendered a solo HR and stayed away from BB's and HBP's.
