Not sure how long you have been watching Sully coached teams, but being fundamentally sound at the small nuances of the game is not something Sully's teams excel at.

Well there went any chance in this game. Gators have runners on the corners and zero outs and fail to score in the 8th inning. 5-2. I would say it is over.

And was it early in the year when this thread was more crowded that the talk was how this team could mash and even a mention of the young pitchers being good? Watch Tinerc hit. That is hitting. I would say at least half their hits today came after they had 2 strikes. And today the pitching gave up the fewest free passes in quite a while. This team just blows and the coaching is beyond suspect.

3-0 Gators in the 3rd inning. Donay solo HR. Shelton 2 run HR. Shelton's once every other series contribution. He has been a disappearing act.

Gators lead 3-0 after 4 innings. Peterson had a very good first 3 innings but clearly tired in the 4th as he walked 2 and hit one better to load the bases but escaped. Way too much nibbling immediately after being staked to a 3 run lead and a waste of energy by celebrating so vehemently after he gets out of innings, especially in the heat and humidity. We have 6 hits, Tinerc has one yet Peterson has thrown about 20 more pitches than the Tinerc pitcher,

Peterson out, Jameson in. Good job by Peterson considering he has not pitched in a good while and had been terrible when he did pitch.

Gators lead 4-2 after 8 innings. Huge infield single by Kurland. All in all Jameson was good in his 4 innings. Tinerc can hit, they know the strike zone and make pitchers work. wish our guys had better strike zone discipline.

Very surprised Jameson came out to start the 9th but that is how Sully is. He rides what little he has. And of course we butcher an easy foul pop for an out and they end up with a single because our shytty defense allowed an extra swing.
