Featured Napier firing imminent? Fuchs and Stricklin go into hiding

Is this you having a conversation with yourself or something legit? I haven't been around all day. I'm trying to get caught up. Maybe that was my first mistake.
Geez 78. OX has Mark Felt on the case but is not at liberty to say that. I am inferring thus sharing.:thug:

Meyer joining UF in-season would be an incredible story. However, I made the point that Stricklin doesn't like him. I was then told Stricklin wouldn't be making that decision, because he is also gone.
Nothing would make me happier than urban coming during the bye week

Something tells me Urban would find Scott Stricklin to be a bunch of nonsense. Especially after Stricklin asked for his autograph.

More:

  • Back-channel communications with Urban Meyer have him "intrigued". It was suggested that Billy G could be the "bridge" to transition THIS SEASON considering their years working together. Billy G knows the system Meyer would likely want to run. Bringing in Meyer now would also give him a head start on recruiting Lagway to stay and lead.
  • Strickin is gone - just a matter of when. Could be simultaneously as Billy or after. A GM-type replacement could sell Meyer on an attractive structure.
Don't Fuch with me Ox. This scenario has me creaming my pants.

There is a fine line between "being deliberate" and "waiting too long" to pull the trigger. If he rattles off a win against Mississippi State (and let's not pretend it is impossible given they were just throttled by Toledo yesterday) the thought of firing him after said win will be unpalatable to our spineless admin. If he plays UT at least halfway competitively they'll all say "he outperformed" and if we lose to UK the cope will be that they "almost beat UGA."

I've seen this movie before. Everybody agrees, right now, that he blows chunks and needs to be escorted off campus. There are also risks associated with doing nothing.

Im guessing Urban is a pipe dream but I will embrace that kind of dream. Hes gotta know we would welcome him back with open arms. Many of us would escort his wife to the grocery store if she needed it.

After disqualification of Stricklin and Fuchs, the logical question becomes, who actually is the admin at this point? Maybe we could put up 50 at MSU and he'd still get canned.

Your point is well taken, though.

A lot of tidbits coming in to me:
  • Lot of people at the top scared firing Billy will make us lose Lagway
  • Arguing on WHEN to fire Billy, and who to promote to interim when they do
It sounds like to me they don’t trust the ability of themselves to choose a top end coach. You bring in a top-flight offensive coach like Lincoln Riley or Ryan Day, Lagway is going nowhere.

They just need to be ready to pay $12m a year.

Bring in a GM to take those duties away from them and I think they will bolt for that.

I'll be the first one to take a victory lap if Meyer lands here since I've been calling it for 10 months now....I was told it was NEVER going to happen by a certain member whom I won't call out by name

Third strike for Strick. He'll be lucky to find another major AD job.

He'll land somewhere else making a boatload of money. Sadly, Billy will, too. He'll find some Sun Belt school or other G5 institution that hasn't really paid attention and he'll sucker them into believing his BS.

Impossible. I was assured in the World Series Thread that Ohtani is a fraud and very overrated.

    Ohtani is freaking ridiculous

or the stove with the center griddle section has an oval burner
  • PastyStoole PastyStoole:
Do you have burners that join together on the stove? That makes the oval pot more useable on the stove.

Like I said, I think I’m going to ask for it for Christmas. It’s rare for there to be something I want

I got one of those for my ex on mother's day one year. She loved it.
  • PastyStoole PastyStoole:
    That's a very good price.

I saw that. Do it, Casey. Do it.

I’m looking at the 8 QT. On sale for $299
  • PastyStoole PastyStoole:
I have two 7.25 QT dutch ovens. They are really good. I'm compelled to use them all the time mostly because they are so damned expensive. My kids are going to love them when they have kids of their own.

  • CaseyGator CaseyGator:
